Sometimes people do not just need a handout. They need a hand to hold. At Oore Ofe, we believe funding alone is not enough. Brilliant girls fall through the cracks every day — not because they lack intelligence or potential, but because they lack access, guidance, exposure, support, or simply someone consistently in their corner. We want to change that story. The Oore Ofe Scholarship will sponsor one young woman per cohort through her undergraduate journey, covering tuition, accommodation, and where possible, living expenses.

But beyond the financial support, she will be surrounded by intentional guidance. She will not become another statistic. She will be seen. Known. Supported. Poured into. Each scholar will be connected to a mentorship circle of women committed to helping her succeed not just academically, but holistically. We will help her build confidence, professionalism, emotional resilience, and social capital. We will share knowledge many people only learn through painful trial and error. Because it is possible to graduate with good grades and still feel lost.

It is possible to be gifted and still remain unseen. We want our girls to walk into rooms prepared. Prepared for interviews. Prepared for leadership. Prepared for opportunity. Prepared to dream bigger than their circumstances. Through wisdom, support, prayer, community, and strategic guidance, we hope to walk with each girl as she evolves — gently and fully — into all God has called her to be. From caterpillar to butterfly. And one day, hopefully, she too becomes part of the thread that lifts another girl behind her.
